While he was gone we survived by eating chocolate in a variety of forms, by going on lots and lots of walks, and by looking for reasons to laugh at things like this:
J figured out on the first day of D's trip that I couldn't restrain laughter when he'd put on the babies' chicken costumes. Eventually transformed the simple costume into an entire line of disguises with endless possibilities. Here he is as the "firefighting chicken." Also popular are "coach chicken", "mailchicken", and "missionary chicken."All that eating, walking, and laughing sure does wear us out--we were ready for him to walk through the door after four days of surviving without him.
And onto present cuteness. My friend Lisa suggested that I give the twins playtime in the bathtub with towel and a few inches of water. I snapped a few photos of their first splash session together.

Look at them!! all so cute and BIG!! and J is so funny! I'm glad you survived. It is hard but I think it also opens some new "FUN" list of things to do. (less cooking too)
I distinctly remember when you told me that you wanted to teach J how to tell funny stories. Looks like he's got the doing funny things down. That boy cracks me up! And your two little babies are quickly becoming big babies...who look more & more different in every picture I see of them.
So cute! If Joshua will continue to cultivate his ability to make you laugh, he will have a sure way to get out of LOTS of trouble.
Look at those babies SITTING up in the tub and with two teeth each. Wow!
How cute! Love all those smiles! And how fun for you to have a little comedian around to help make you laugh. Way to go at keeping it fun while daddy was gone! And boy do the mommies love it when the daddies come home especially when they have been gone for a few days. Glad he is back!
