Little Extra Love

We had a little extra love here on Valentine's Day. I actually pulled off cookie decorating and a candlelit dinner for the family, but all other traditions were minimized. My friend Cydney gave us a very fun valentine--a red mylar balloon. It kept my children entertained for hours. Great idea, Cyd. E was especially mesmerized by it. J determined that E sounds just like an Ewok when he's excited, and I have to agree, so imagine Ewok sounds as you glance at these snapshots of his balloon playtime.

those boys of yours are adorable.
...and don't even get me started on A.
Miss those kids.

...and will definitely miss my annual spring trip up to your place (it would be my third year, you know)

Isn't it amazing how everyone frets over what to give a child and something as simple as a balloon just mesemerizes them! I would love to hear your little Ewok. I think your cookies and dinner Valentine's Day sounds perfect...that's as much as we managed to do and it was nice :)

It really is the simple things in life that can be the most rewarding. I can't remember the last time I got so excited about something I make Ewok sounds, well...maybe when we got our girl scout cookies, or when we had root beer floats last night, or when dan made strawberry shortcake this past weekend...Is there a pattern here?
