Going Home to Washington State

The second leg our west-coast trip was to Eastern Washington to spend time with the Players. The first time I went to Spokane with my college roommate Janeen twelve years ago, I was so struck by its beauty--I still feel that way when I return. We were able to enjoy lots of time outside playing in the backyard, jumping on the trampoline, and paddling in Great Grandma's canoe on Horseshoe Lake and the Little Spokane River. The weather couldn't have been any better despite forecasts for lots of rain.
Of course, the time spent with family was priceless. We celebrated Great Grandma Smith's birthday, had cousin sleepovers, and even danced to Great Grandpa Smith's player piano.

Sweet sweet photos. Love the water shots, and the Great Grandma B-day shot. It was great to see you a few weeks ago, Liz. You are special.

Looks like your family had a great time! D's parents haven't changed a bit. They look so happy holding their grandbabies. :)
