All Business at the Pumpkin Farm

I love autumn weekends.  We're in the middle of a great one as I type this.

Our pumpkin retrieval today went so smoothly--since when does any outing go smoothly?  We were all business.  The boys picked the pumpkins, and A and I picked up a bag of apples and doughnuts.  I'm pretty sure we were in and out in five minutes.
D is going to cringe when he sees that last photo just thinking about what J's twenty-four pound (!) pumpkin cost us.

This was the best shot I could get of smiles.
Thankfully cheerfulness returned as all devoured their cider doughnuts.

When did these two little kids grow up? Where have I been?

We did the same thing. I guess great minds think alike. Even the doughnut thing. Fall Cider doughnuts might be one of my favorite things.
