Dear Grandma P and Nana B:
One week ago Mom found this waiting for us just outside our front door. Not the truck, the fun mail.
Two care packages--what luck! One from Washington and one from California--one from you, Grandma P, and one from you, Nana B.
Great minds think alike. As further evidence of this these were the contents of the packages: books, dried fruit, and photos for my photo album. As for who sent what what, I wonder if you're scanning back through your memory to remember what you sent because these are common things for you both to send.
We devoured the dried fruit, I read my letter and stowed my pictures, and then we all settled onto the couch for storytime. Thanks for thinking of us at the exact same time--this dual surprise made for such a fun day.
We love our Grandmas!

P.S. It was an exciting day for Mom, too. She received this in the mail from the office of the president of Eddie Bauer:
One month ago in a package of clearance items she ordered she received an item worth $100 that she hadn't ordered but had shipped to her in error. It was a beautiful jacket but she knew she had to ship it back. A couple weeks later an assistant to the president of the company called with their thanks and informed her that this was on its way. Guess it pays to be honest.

What fun :) I was actually thinking about you earlier today... I was standing in the kitchen getting my dinner marinating, and what should come on the radio but I Will Survive. All of a sudden I was back in Maia sitting across from you doing studies, or more accurately sitting with our books open with you singing at the top of your lungs and dancing in your chair. Such good memories of the super dupla :) Love you!
