Better Afternoon

Dear Daniel,
You are still at the conference in the fresh air of the Puget Sound.  We talked last night about how good of a city Seattle was for us, and I thought about that more today.  I'm glad you get to be there if even just for a couple days.

Today we had a better afternoon than we had yesterday and thank goodness for that.  I've uploaded a few images of our playtime before dinner in the chronological order in which they were taken.
He came up with that all by himself while the twins were in the bathtub--I seriously cried.  Because he's creative and sweet and because he's trying hard to be good while you're gone.  It's nice to have a better day.

Come home soon.
Love,
Liz

My favorite is that it's quesadillas for dinner when the dad is gone. This is the kind of meal we have at our house as well on nights when I'm the lone parent. Or pasta. We eat a lot of quesadillas and pasta when it's just me. Or cereal. Cereal is a good choice for dinner. So now you have ideas for the next two days. Wish I were closer. You could just come over for dinner.

Wait a minute...Dan's in Seattle and he didn't even tell us! Shame on him. Beautiful pictures, Liz.

Love the Virginia blossoms. And the "i love you" signage is so very tender. You're good to record your afternoon. Love to you Liz.

I would have absolutely cried at the I Love You sign. So cute & very creative!

MMMM! Quesadillas. Deborah's comment made me laugh. Pretty sure we had quesadillas, pasta & cereal for dinner last week & James was even here. I totally get a pass since I have a newborn, right (does a 2 month old still count as a newborn???)

Love the 'I love you' sign! We have breakfast for dinner when Shaun isn't home. Makes me feel better.
