Over the Weekend--Interviews with Daddy

 6 A.M. bikeride for dad
6 A.M. cartoons for kids
6 A.M. nap on the couch for mom
Errands and chores and a downpour
Rain, rain, rain
Balmy, perfectly green hike at Ivy Creek
Saturday evening session of Stake conference without kids
(This stood out:  we live during the greatest time in the history of the Earth.  Pride, sin, and envy get in the way of our happiness.)
Wiggling and listening during Sunday morning session of stake conference
(This stood out: more important than great scriptural learning is the ability to work in harmony with others.)
Unexpectedly quiet lunch with the kids
Predictably energetic jumping off the couch during a Sunday movie
Late lunch guests who we were thrilled to see--the sister missionaries!
Interviews with Daddy
Family journal time
Afternoon walk and a tantrum
Watermelon and potato rolls for dinner
A smooth scripture time and bedtime

What is it about kids waking up early on days when Dad is on an early morning bike ride?! The start of your Saturday morning sounds awfully familiar!

Love how you can get so much in so few words. I need a lesson in that. Great, as always.
