The Weekend Mustache

(I am blanking on what we did on Friday night)
Check-in call from Dan headed to work site north of Coney Island
Work-Then-Play Saturday
Three awesome kids doing chores
Discovered: another silly use for tape
Lots of Wii fun at a friend's, but one split lip in all the action.
A musical number at a funeral
A movie at the new stadium-style theater--a first!
Two thumbs up for Rise of the Guardians
Dan's report via phone of removing sheetrock and flooring from flooded houses and grateful residents
Two thoughts I had listening to awesome talks on parenting on Sunday:
We should strive to control ourselves more than we control our children.
Though the main responsibility for teaching children lies with parents, as (grown) children we can look to others to learn things we didn't pick up at home.
Six loaves of bread
D's final report from the road after one last morning of work in NYC
Friends for dinner and good conversation
