We snuck away on a warm winter day to see a little spot of Shenandoah as a family. In truth, I was scouting it out as a YW Camp hike. I can only imagine how beautiful it is the summer, but my crew did a good job of supporting me in camp preparation and in indulging my curiosity.
This is such a great loop--much of the trail follows the Hog Camp Branch or Rose River, so there is plenty of stream space to play in, and lots of waterfalls to investigate.
These streams keep us all entertained. Our kids still aren't too old to skip rocks and check still pools for tiny creatures.
And I never get tired of being with Dan. Everyone wins when we're hiking alongside water in Shenandoah.
